Why did Jesus Have to die?

He did, you know.  He died.  And He Had to die.  But Why?

1. Because Our sin is Bad.  It may not bother us, but our sin bothers God.  God can’t stay in the presence of sin.  He won’t let it into His Heaven.

2.  Because we could not get into Heaven if He had not.  A perfect person had to die for the imperfect.  One without sin had to take the sins of all us sinners.  It was the Atonement.  It was the Propitiation.  It was the Just dying for the Unjust.

3.  Because He loved us.  He couldn’t sit idly by while the whole Human Race dropped off the cliff of eternity right into the lake of Fire.  If He didn’t love you, He wouldn’t have died for you.  But He did…Because He Does!
